==Insi has released its annual technology trends e-book for the Brazilian market!== To bring greater adherence to the current Brazilian business scenario, the company interviewed leaders from some of the main companies in various segments in Brazil, to understand what is on the radar from a technological point of view. The interviewees are: Telmo Costa (CEO of Insi), Simone Lettieri (Digital Director of Insi), Gustavo França (Global CIO of Gerdau), Alexandre Villeroy (CIO of Acelen), Hélio Matsumoto (CIO of Sicredi), Alexandre Telles (CIO of Ajinomoto), Lilian Hoffmann (Executive Director of Technologies and Innovation at BP – Beneficência Portuguesa de São Paulo) and Wanderley Baccalá (Executive Director of Globo's Digital Hub).

1. Operational Efficiency

"More than transformation, digital evolution," we understand evolution as a real necessity, driving greater precision and productivity in the work environment. Digital evolution is broader and refers to structural, organizational and cultural changes, focusing on improving people's experience and company results.

"Connecting trends that make sense to the business, incorporating them into daily practices, is crucial. Digital transformation is a conscious evolution aligned with strategy and oriented towards concrete results. The challenge is clear: constantly evolve and innovate in an increasingly dynamic business scenario," explains Telmo Costa, CEO of Insi.

The content states that 2024 is the year of operational efficiency, after all, adopting solutions that allow the company's evolution is important, but what really makes the difference is not having cutting-edge technology, but being adequate to customer needs and having an organizational culture compatible with the use of these technologies, taking full advantage of them. We can conclude that the focus is to reduce efforts in operations, better using resources and technologies, to expand scale and thus be able to focus on an evolutionary strategy over time that supports the business.

2. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial Intelligence (AI) was widely discussed by all interviewees, being one of the most highlighted topics in 2023. This year, the trend will persist, with companies being challenged to effectively implement the use of AI. The subject highlights the importance of adapting amidst an uncertain scenario and the crucial role of artificial intelligence in driving experimentation and opening new opportunities. There are great expectations regarding generative AI, capable of creating something original and unique, in addition to learning complex behavioral patterns from a database. This contrasts with previous models, which simply replicated previously assimilated patterns, providing a significant boost to creativity.

"Companies continue to recognize the role of technology as a facilitator in solving business challenges that impact business, social and environmental issues, that is, innovations will not replace, but will demand the adaptation and improvement of human functions," emphasizes Simone Lettieri, Digital Director of Insi.

3. Digital Twins

One of the themes that has been discussed before and is evolving more and more is "digital twins", a concept that refers to the real-time virtual representation of physical objects or processes, allowing precise simulations and correct sizing, as in the operation of equipment. That is, the concept: phygital - the physical and the digital. In fact, according to Grand View Research data, the global market for this technology is expected to exceed US$ 25 billion in revenue by 2025.

4. Process Automation

Making people's work easier is the essence of process automation. However, according to the e-book, the advantages of automation go far beyond, resulting in remarkable precision, with reduced errors and more agile performance in tasks. Therefore, it is accompanied by process mapping and optimization to meet what decision makers want: operate efficiently, reducing time and costs, and be more aligned with what the customer seeks. The goal here is to allow people to focus on business and strategy, and also provide greater operational efficiency.

5. Quantum Computing

The transformative power of quantum computing was also a topic of the report, bringing the evolution of this technology, which combines aspects of computing, physics and mathematics, using quantum mechanics to solve complex problems faster than on traditional computers. There are already some quantum computing approaches, which simulate supercomputers in commercial use with a focus on logistics optimization.

6. People, Culture and Performance

Everything is about people, culture, work and performance. Companies with greater digital maturity also tend to invest more in innovation, evolving and bringing greater process automation to facilitate the progress of activities. This occurs because they already have both digitalization and cultural aspects. Their employees and customers are culturally prepared to work together with technology more effectively.

"Companies are constantly working to find better ways to operate, simplify processes, improve the experience of customers and professionals, it is necessary to always evolve the experience focusing on results for people. To overcome these challenges, digital evolution and innovation are key pieces of these companies' strategy. It's about allowing yourself to be increasingly human, agile, test, learn, evolve, as well as create paths, grow and prosper, to change cultures and leverage new businesses. Simplicity, clarity and innovation walk together for results," concludes Telmo Costa, CEO of Insi.
