On September 27, INSI was present as a sponsor of the SAP Inside Track São Leopoldo-RS, an event that brought together the SAP community in a space for exchange about technology, innovation, and business transformation. With a technical and collaborative program, the SAP SIT RS highlighted real solutions for the challenges faced by companies in the current context, and Tax Reform was one of the central themes.

Tax Reform in practice: INSI's presentation

INSI's presentation on the theme “Tax Reform in practice,” conducted by Aline Bauer Jung - Tech Lead SD, provided a clear and objective analysis of the impacts of the new tax legislation on sales and billing processes within SAP.

Starting with Constitutional Amendment 132/2023, the transition to the CBS, IBS, and IS taxes, which will replace PIS, COFINS, ICMS, ISS, and IPI, will require deep updates in SAP and legacy systems. Aline highlighted the main points of attention:

  • Transition schedule until 2033, with tests, gradual reductions, and new tax rules starting in 2026
  • Operational and financial risks for companies that do not adapt in time
  • Direct impacts on tax documents: invoices, sales orders, shipments, and bills will need adjustments
  • New fields, text types, and calculation rules already provided in SAP Notes and official Technical Notes (such as Technical Note 2025.002 and SAP Note 3561376)
  • Use of SAP Workzone and Regulatory Change Manager (RCM) to manage updates and technical deliveries
  • Complete checklist with adjustments in Tax Situation, XML, CSTs, and tax types With a detailed approach, ==INSI demonstrated that anticipating changes is essential to ensure the continuity of billing and tax compliance during the transition period.==

Moments of exchange with the community

In addition to the main presentation, INSI actively participated in two conversation moments with the audience in parallel rooms, promoting technical discussions and answering specific questions about the impacts of the reform on SAP systems.

A future of changes with strategy, method, and execution

For INSI, being part of the SAP SIT is more than sharing knowledge; it is about contributing concrete solutions for the journey of companies in transformation. Being alongside the SAP community at this critical moment reaffirms our commitment to technical excellence, applied innovation, and sustainable growth.
